Job summary

Napleton Lexus of Brookfield seeks an Automotive Technician-Skilled to maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards. You will inspect vehicles, perform routine maintenance and communicate findings to the team, with career growth through cross training and manufacturer certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive technical training or experience as a lube tech or technician assistant.
• All OEM experience welcome.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections and communicate oil level to teammates.
• Ensure proper tire pressure and perform wheel alignments.
• Inspect and refill fluids; install oil drain plug and filter.
• Clean, lubricate fittings, batteries and exhaust components as needed.
• Assist with recalls that do not require diagnostic equipment and maintain a clean service area.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspection
• Check and communicate oil level to other teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Perform wheel alignments
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Clean and replace batteries
• Replace or repair exhaust system
• Remove and reinstall brake drums and/or brake shoes
• Replace Radiators
• Perform Manufacturer recalls that do not require diagnostic equipment
• Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Automotive technical training or experience as a lube tech+ or technician assistant
• All OEM experience welcome
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
