Job summary

Napleton Hyundai of Hazelwood in Hazelwood, MO is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and communicate with customers and parts/service staff to maintain efficiency and trust.

The role emphasizes customer service, reliability, and adherence to dealer and factory standards, with opportunities for training and certification.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on the repair order to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Maintain an organized work area and notify management of repair problems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
