Job summary

Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata is seeking an Automotive Master Technician to join our service team. This role fixes vehicles and performs maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards while building trust with customers.

You will diagnose issues, communicate findings to customers and parts advisors, and stay current with factory bulletins and certifications. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a family-owned group.

Qualifications

• Automotive service technician experience required.
• ASE certification is desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair orders according to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Located at Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata, the Automotive Master Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local/law regulations.
