Job summary

Tulsa City-County Library is seeking a Lead Customer Service Assistant to oversee Express services and monitor/book kiosks at designated locations. The role includes acting as PIC for Central or other sites, assisting customers, and coordinating with staff across departments.

The position emphasizes strong communication, troubleshooting kiosks, and ensuring smooth operations of the Express Library services with occasional evenings and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Experience: one+ year in customer service is required.
• Basic knowledge of Sierra functions preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting Express Library kiosks preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Check kiosk management console software for issues and inspect machines.
• Perform basic troubleshooting by reviewing machine codes and escalate to IT as needed.
• Monitor kiosk inventory and restock when below 70% capacity.
• Select and restock materials with optimal visibility.
• Test kiosk functionality by checking out/returning books in real time.
• Use Sierra to check in materials and remove damaged/non-circulating items.
• Run collection maintenance reports and provide feedback on collection condition.
• Provide PIC coverage and direct tasks of Customer Service Assistants and volunteers.
