Job summary

HarbisonWalker International seeks an Export Specialist II to generate export documents and invoices ensuring compliance with Federal and international regulations for timely movement of goods.

The role involves maintaining export records, classifying products under HTS, managing international logistics, issuing documentation, and supporting rate management. A BA in international business, logistics, or related fields is desirable and bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree desirable.
• Must have knowledge of INCOTERMS, harmonized tariff schedules and scheduling, UCP 500 for documentary purposes, letters of credit, AES and SED filing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain export records per 15 CFR part 30.10 and company policy.
• Classify products with Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
• Manage international logistics including scheduling deliveries and issuing export documentation; assist with rate management and audit freight forwarder performance.
• Prepare export invoicing, quotes and order confirmations.

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Customer Service Team as an Export Specialist II.

Summary

The Export Specialist II generates export documentation and invoices in compliance with Federal and International regulations to ensure the proper and timely movement of HarbisonWalker International freight.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining all export records as defined in in 15 CFR part 30.10 and HarbisonWalker Internationals record retention policy
• Maintaining and classifying HarbisonWalker Internationals products with the appropriate Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Code
• Managing the logistics affecting international sales including but not limited to (1) scheduling the delivery of materials in compliance with US and international laws (2) issuing export documentation in compliance with US export and destination country import laws and regulations (3) assisting the HarbisonWalker International Supply Chain Department with rate management and negotiation (4) auditing freight forwarder performance
• Preparing export invoicing, creating quotes and confirming orders

Requirements

• A B.A. degree in international business, business, or logistics is desirable.
• Requires knowledge of INCO 2000 terms, harmonized traffic systems and schedulers, UCP 500 for documentary purposes, letters of credit, AES and SED filing.
• Professionally fluent in a second language is a plus.
• Requires at least two (2) years experience in Domestic and Export Invoicing and Logistics.
