Job summary

Allegis Group seeks an Export Control Officer to lead Actalent and Allegis export control compliance across client engagements, including on/off-site work. The ECO will review contracts, SOWs, RFPs, and other documents with a focus on ITAR/EAR, OFAC, and CUI obligations, providing training and guidance to teams and leadership.

The role requires staying current with federal regulations and coordinating with enterprise partners to ensure proposals and programs comply with export control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of Export Controls experience including EAR/ITAR; OFAC knowledge.
• 3+ years government contracting experience; FAR/DFAR knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage an effective trade compliance program.
• Provide SME guidance to enable the business while maintaining compliance.
• Assist with verification of citizenship to control deemed exports.
• Maintain TCP and enforce policies at local offices.
• Conduct compliance audits defined in the TCP.
• Develop ITAR/EAR compliance training materials and deliver via LMS.
• Review proposals and contracts to identify export control requirements.
• Assess tech data and software within controlled workspaces for compliance.
• Determine licensing requirements and assist in drafting license applications.
• Guide stakeholders in maintaining export control records.
• Inform leadership of export control activities or changes.
• Partner with BD and practice teams on opportunities.
• Develop procedures to manage export control activities.
• Review proposed contract language to protect company interests.
• Assess project requirements to ensure proper export control implementation.
• Identify ITAR/EAR exemptions and exceptions.
• Serve as Empowered Official for applying for and maintaining licenses.
