Export Compliance Specialist

West Point, Mississippi Direct Hire $70000 /

West Point, MS | $70,000–$85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

A growing aerospace and defense manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to support domestic and international trade compliance activities.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, export documentation, product classification, and controlled technical data.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Administer export compliance activities under ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and U.S. Customs regulations.

• Classify products, components, software, and technical data under ECCN and USML requirements.

• Prepare and review commercial invoices, EEI filings, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

• Support export license applications and monitor license conditions and provisos.

• Conduct restricted-party screening and maintain complete, audit-ready records.

• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Program Management on compliant shipments.

• Support compliance audits, internal training, and corrective-action activities.

• Identify potential compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+years of export compliance, customs, or international trade compliance experience.

• Working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

• Experience with export classifications, restricted-party screening, licensing, and shipping documentation.

• Aerospace, defense, government contracting, or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

• Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills.

• Experience with ERP or trade compliance software.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Certification: Certified Export Specialist (CES), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), or comparable export compliance certification preferred.

U.S. citizenship is required due to access to export-controlled technical data.

This is a full-time, onsite position in the Golden Triangle region of Mississippi.
