Job summary

Xylem is seeking an Expert Service Center Technician to perform hands-on service at our Rockford location. You will handle mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, conducting preventive maintenance and repairs with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires 3–7 years of technical experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel to job sites. CDL Class A/B is preferred but not mandatory; strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class A or B capable – preferred, not required.
• Technical certifications, licenses, or military technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and culture.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist with shop and yard tasks as required.
• Travel to customer or job sites as needed (up to 20%).
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers.
• Lead, coach, and mentor junior technicians as needed.
