Job summary

NBBJ, via its ESI Design studio, seeks a Client Development Director based in the New York office. The role is primarily client-facing, with about 75% travel to meet prospects, connectors and senior leaders, and to identify opportunities that grow the business.

You will partner with operations, marketing and leadership to target markets, build lead lists, and maintain senior relationships, ensuring the right people enter conversations.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations and leadership to align relationship-building with revenue goals.
• Execute growth activity through in-person meetings, travel, and events to identify new clients.
• Travel regularly to spend the majority of time in person with clients, prospects, and connectors.
• Identify target markets, clients and lead lists for potential clients and project prospects.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior contacts and connectors to grow opportunities.
• Research, identify, and qualify new clients, markets, and project opportunities.
• Meet with potential clients to establish relationships and introduce appropriate leaders.
• Collaborate on market positioning, thought leadership, and event presence.
