Job summary

SXSW seeks an Experiential Events Manager to oversee the operational execution of SXSW-owned and operated experiential events and activations, and to manage client-hosted events tied to partner deliverables. This role ensures product requirements are clear, fulfillment workflows are followed, event project plans are built and maintained, and deliverables land on time and on spec.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in project coordination or event operations.
• Strong project management with timelines and dependencies.
• Ability to maintain trackers and provide stakeholder visibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for client-hosted events and partner experiences.
• Develop venue one-sheets, site plans, run-of-show schedules, and SOPs.
• Translate sold assets into executable event plans with Partnerships teams.
• Coordinate site visits, logistics, and cross-functional planning.
• Manage budgets, client portals, and deliverable tracking.
• Ensure timely delivery of load-in/out docs, signage, and parking passes.
• Maintain databases and logs for clear internal status updates.
