About The Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Welder with extensive experience in welding stainless steel materials to join our Fabrication Team. The role involves executing welding tasks according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and industry standards, ensuring high-quality work. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in stainless steel welding and proficiency in GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG techniques. The candidate should also be willing to share knowledge and adapt to our processes, accepting constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform GTAW/TIG welding of stainless steel, Inconel, and other hardware with precision.
  2. Utilize GMAW/MIG welding techniques as needed.
  3. Prepare materials through cutting, blending, chamfering, and cleaning for proper fit-up and welding.
  4. Fit-up and weld stainless steel piping per specifications.
  5. Collaborate with engineers on design and manufacturability.
  6. Interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols accurately.
  7. Use precision hand tools and fabrication equipment effectively.
  8. Maintain attention to detail and quality in all welding activities.
  9. Keep accurate records of welding logs and inspection reports.
  10. Assist with material handling and workflow organization.
  11. Ensure shop cleanliness and maintenance.
  12. Operate mobile equipment safely.
  13. Engage in continuous learning and skill development.
  14. Support team members with technical guidance.
  15. Communicate effectively across departments.
  16. Perform any additional tasks to meet company needs.
  17. Adhere to working hours, typically 7am to 3:30pm, with overtime and weekend work as required.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of stainless steel welding experience.
  • Proficiency in GTAW/TIG welding of stainless steel and Inconel hardware.
  • Experience with GMAW/MIG welding.
  • Ability to perform weld preparation tasks.
  • Pipe fit-up and welding experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with hand tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Attention to detail and quality commitment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
