Job Description

Salary:

We are looking for a welder & fabricator for our Houston area shop with the following skills or experience:

• Carbon steel
• Stainless steel structural welding
• Carbon and stainless-steel pipe welding
• MIG welding
• Carbon, aluminum, and stainless steel TIG welding
• Ability to read structural fabrication / assembly drawings as required
• General millwright experience recommended
• Certified with successful results on GMAW and GTAW testing

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret shop fabrication drawings
• Work with other fabricators to weld structural baseplates for pumps and other rotating equipment
• Cut structural steel and piping for jobs with band saw as necessary
• Use drill press, mag drill, welding equipment, painting equipment, and other standard fabrication shop equipment
• Assist in assembling pumps and rotating equipment on baseplates
• Lift objects within a fabrication shop environment
• Operate a forklift
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the fabrication shop, caring for tools and equipment

All applications will be considered; however, preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Prior experience with industrial pumps, motors, water treatment pumps, and controls is valuable.
