San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Welder to cut, join, and fabricate metal parts for manufacturing equipment and tools. You will design parts to meet specific needs, install or remove equipment, and create holding jigs for efficient production.

The role requires 2–5 years of welding experience, AWS certification preferred, forklift experience, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years or more of welding experience.
• Welding certification preferred (American Welding Society).
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Follow company procedures and policies.

Responsabilités

• Cutting and joining metal parts for fabricating or repairing manufacturing equipment, tools, and various other articles.
• Designing and fabricating the equipment and parts for meeting the special or unusual needs, using the manufacturer specifications, calculator, measuring devices, drawings, etc.
• Installing or removing any special equipment like grinders, power and hand tools, etc.
• Designing and creating holding jigs that aid in fabrication of the parts in various numbers
• Maintaining a record of all the work completed
• Maintaining routine inventory of supplies used for operating the welding unit via inspection of stocks and ordering fresh stock as and when required.
