Job summary

Integrated Power Services in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to design, cut, shape and weld metal parts and fixtures. You will prepare materials, read blueprints, and follow fabrication processes to meet precise specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting welds for safety and tolerance, providing input on order of assembly, and lifting or handling heavy components as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of welding/fabrication experience with TIG, MIG, ARC, and dual-shield welding.
• Stainless TIG experience desired for industrial beams.
• Pipe welding experience is preferred.
• Familiar with common welding tools and procedures.
• High school diploma preferred; welding certification is a plus.
• Clean driving record with a valid unrestricted license (min 3 years).
• Knowledge of safety practices and ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Correctly design, cut, shape, and weld pieces of metal together.
• Prepares materials for welding - fabricate, manufacture, grind and clean metal.
• Utilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
• Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output.
• Provide feedback on assembly order, design, materials, fixtures and jigs.
• Notes and marks up customer blueprints for future reference.
• Conceptualizes and makes fixtures.
• Ensure documentation and processes are followed for standardized work.
• Produce accurate work of high quality.
• Inspect and test welds and equipment for safety and tolerance.
