Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Fabricator to join our maintenance team. The role involves troubleshooting, welding, and modifying equipment to support continuous improvement. You will read blueprints, design fixtures, and verify parts meet specifications using measuring tools.

Minimum Associates or technical degree in welding with 1 year of experience required. Safety and precision are essential in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

Associates or technical degree in welding or related field.
1 year of experience in welding or related field.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Familiarity with welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW).
Strong math and measuring skills.

Responsibilities

Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications, using jigs and hand tools.
Design and construct templates and fixtures using required tools.
Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using squares, rulers and measuring tapes.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
Work independently and demonstrate dexterity to handle small or heavy components.
