Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Portland, OR is seeking a Journeyman Truck Technician/Mechanic to service medium and heavy-duty class 7 and 8 trucks. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild components to keep customers on the road and maximize uptime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
• Basic computer knowledge and Cummins MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks in the shop.
• Diagnose and analyze truck malfunctions or system failures.
• Repair or rebuild engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, electrical and air systems.
• Maintain and service trucks to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
