Job summary

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler for the Murray Urology Clinic. You will schedule surgeries, procedures, tests, referrals, and pre-operative services while applying clinical knowledge to ensure correct scheduling per provider orders.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with responsibilities including coordinating with hospitals, submitting authorizations, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Schedules and coordinates office- and hospital-based procedures and surgeries.
• Maintains informed consent and regulatory documentation.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations as required.
• Ensures pre-operative testing and clearances are completed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment and supplies.
• Review patient medical history for pre-admission testing.
