Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing with resident treatment sessions as directed
- Prepare, organize, clean, residents and their living spaces
- Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, exercises, and positioning under nursing supervision
- Observe and report resident progress, concerns, or changes in condition to nursing staff
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding assistance
- Obtain and record resident vital signs as assigned
- Ensure resident safety and comfort during therapy sessions and daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by facility policies
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA confidentiality guidelines
- Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and training programs
- Assist with restorative nursing programs as directed
Qualifications:
- Current STNA certification in the state of Ohio
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred
- Ability to work effectively with elderly and disabled populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and documentation skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push wheelchairs and transport residents safely
- Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility activities
