Centerville Post Acute in Centerville, Ohio is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The role supports comfort, safety, dignity, and overall well-being in a team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care.
• Assist residents with meals, feeding, hydration, and maintaining proper nutrition.
• Safely transfer, reposition, and ambulate residents according to their care plans.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond appropriately to resident needs.
• Obtain and record vital signs and other assigned measurements.
• Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, skin integrity, appetite, mobility, or overall well-being and promptly report concerns to the nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment.
• Assist with incontinence care and maintain appropriate hygiene and infection-control practices.
• Provide respectful and compassionate care while protecting resident privacy and dignity.
• Assist residents with personal belongings and encourage independence whenever possible.
• Participate in resident activities and promote positive social interaction.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, safety standards, and infection-prevention practices.
• Work cooperatively with nurses, STNAs, residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to assist with lifting, transferring, repositioning, and ambulating residents.
• Ability to push or pull equipment and supplies as required.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform resident‑care duties.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
