Job summary

The Employee Connect is seeking State Tested Nursing Assistants to join a dedicated resident care team in Lima, OH. The role supports a stable, patient-centered environment across long-term care, rehab, and skilled nursing settings.

Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are available. Orientation with a preceptor, predictable assignments, and ongoing training help new staff settle in and grow into nursing roles.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio STNA certification in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Six months+ long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred; new STNAs welcome to apply.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Clear communication skills and a genuine commitment to compassionate care.
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work some weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility with dignity and respect.
• Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake and output accurately.
• Help residents at mealtimes and monitor nutrition and hydration.
• Reposition and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Observe and promptly report changes in condition, skin integrity, behavior, or mood to the nurse.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record each shift.
• Support short-term rehab residents in meeting their therapy and mobility goals.
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and resident rights policies.
• Communicate warmly with families and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Take part in shift reports, care plan huddles, and ongoing training.
• Help residents take part in activities and daily routines that support their quality of life.
• Welcome and orient new admissions and help them settle in comfortably.

Benefits & Pay

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience and schedule.
