Job summary

Provider Health Services LLC is seeking a compassionate State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our Columbus, OH team. This role involves direct patient care, vital signs, mobility support, and assisting with meals while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active Ohio STNA certification, have healthcare experience, and demonstrate excellent communication and reliability. CPR/First Aid is a plus, and flexibility for varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio STNA certification in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
• Monitor and record vital signs; report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
• Support meals, hydration, and nutritional needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Document care activities per facility policies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team.
• Knowledge of Hoyer lift is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and safety protocols
• Support patients with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents and patients
• Document care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Most have knowledge of hoyer left

Requirements:

• Active Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in good standing
• Previous experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong understanding of patient rights, dignity, and person-centered care
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
