Job summary

The Employee Connect is seeking State Tested Nursing Assistants in Coldwater, OH for full-time, part-time, or PRN roles on-site in a resident care setting. You will support nursing staff and help residents with daily activities, while building trust through consistent assignments.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, documentation in the electronic health record, and adherence to infection control. A structured orientation and supportive team help you grow toward nursing roles.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio STNA certification in good standing on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
• Current BLS or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Six months or more of long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred; new STNAs are welcome to apply.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Clear communication skills and a genuine commitment to compassionate care.
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work some weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility with dignity and respect.
• Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake and output accurately.
• Help residents at mealtimes and monitor nutrition and hydration.
• Reposition and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Observe and promptly report changes in condition, skin integrity, behavior, or mood to the nurse.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record each shift.
• Support short-term rehab residents in meeting their therapy and mobility goals.
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and resident rights policies.
• Communicate warmly with families and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Take part in shift reports, care plan huddles, and ongoing training.
• Help residents take part in activities and daily routines that support their quality of life.
• Welcome and orient new admissions and help them settle in comfortably.

Benefits & Pay

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience and schedule.
