Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred, with experience in one or more of: environmental, commercial, construction, insurance defense, business, product liability, or related complex matters.
• Strong familiarity with legal documents, procedures, and terminology in state and federal courts.
• Advanced computer and database skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with case management and document management systems; Filevine experience preferred.
• Ability to track and record billable time and meet hourly requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft initial case pleadings for attorney review, including notices of appearance, answers, and related filings in state and federal courts.
• Review, analyze, and summarize discovery responses across complex litigation matters.
• Conduct factual investigations of parties, jobsites, companies, products, and other entities.
• Maintain and update case management software to reflect case developments and documentation.
• Draft subpoenas and coordinate collection of records in compliance with rules.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses for retention, scheduling, and material review.
• Research and analyze applicable state and federal case law to support pre-trial motions and strategy.
• Review deposition testimony for use in motion practice and trials.
• Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings and trials, including trial notebooks and exhibits.
