Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school is required.
• CA bar admission required; additional licenses a plus.
• 0–7 years of litigation experience in product liability or complex civil litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other litigation‑related documents in product liability or complex litigation matters.
• Prepare, analyze, and respond to written discovery and manage discovery with multiple parties.
• Develop case strategies, defenses, and trial themes with increasing autonomy under mentorship.
• Research state and federal case law, statutes, and regulatory frameworks relevant to complex litigation.
• Interview and prepare witnesses and corporate representatives for testimony.
• Take and defend depositions of lay and expert witnesses and corporate reps.
• Argue motions and participate in court appearances under supervision.
• Draft pretrial reports and assist with case evaluations and risk assessments.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and client relations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff; contribute to business development.
