Job summary

Peoples Rx in Austin, TX is seeking an Experienced Pharmacist for a Part-Time/PRN role. You will dispense medications, provide expert guidance on pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas pharmacist license in good standing, strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, and excellent communication skills. Immunization and preceptor experience are preferred; familiarity with compounding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations and ethics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills focused on customers.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Immunization certification preferred; preceptor experience preferred.
• Familiarity with nutraceuticals and compounding.
• Experience in community/independent pharmacy settings preferred.

As a pharmacist with Peoples Rx, you will join our dynamic team of technicians and our pharmacists who average well over a decade of celebrating the journey with Peoples Rx. The ideal candidate has the ability to work promptly with precision in a fast-paced, retail environment while serving our customers with compassion and care.

Responsibilities:

• Immunization certification preferred.
• Preceptor experience preferred.
• Familiarity with nutritional supplements.
• Prior compounding experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule, alternating nights and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.
• Able to stand for 8 hours
