Job summary

Peoples Rx is seeking experienced Texas-licensed pharmacists to join our Austin-area team. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities in a community pharmacy environment focused on patient care and collaboration with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Shifts typically start around 8:30–9:00 a.m. with stores closing by 7:00 p.m.; Saturdays rotate and Sundays are closed. Ideal candidates are accurate, efficient, and enjoy working with patients in a busy team setting.

Qualifications

• Current Texas pharmacist license.
• Experience in community/retail pharmacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with pharmacy technology and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Counsel patients on medications, proper use, adherence, and potential concerns.
• Provide knowledgeable, compassionate service to patients and customers.
• Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
• Work closely with pharmacy technicians and other members of the pharmacy team.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support the continued development and improvement of pharmacy services.

We're looking for experienced Texas-licensed Pharmacists to join our team. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Our retail pharmacies offer a schedule that supports a better work-life balance than many traditional retail pharmacy settings. Depending on location and schedule, shifts begin as early as 8:30 or 9:00 a.m., our stores close by 7:00 p.m., Saturdays are shared on a rotating basis, and we're closed on Sundays.

Our ideal pharmacist is accurate, efficient, comfortable in a busy retail pharmacy environment, and genuinely enjoys working with patients and a collaborative pharmacy team. Many members of our pharmacy team have been with Peoples Rx for well over a decade, bringing tremendous experience and knowledge to the work we do.

What You'll Do

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

• Previous pharmacist experience; independent or community pharmacy experience preferred


• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a busy pharmacy team


• Comfortable using pharmacy technology and Google Workspace


• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.


• Schedule flexibility, including rotating Saturdays

Additional experience we'd love to see, but don't require:

• Preceptor experience


• Knowledge of nutritional supplements and integrative wellness
