Job summary

Peoples Rx in Austin, TX is seeking an Experienced Pharmacist for a Part-Time/PRN role. You will dispense medications, provide expert guidance on pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas pharmacist license in good standing, strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, and excellent communication skills. Immunization and preceptor experience are preferred; familiarity with compounding is a plus.

Qualifications

Current Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations and ethics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills focused on customers.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced retail setting.
Immunization certification preferred; preceptor experience preferred.
Familiarity with nutraceuticals and compounding.
Experience in community/independent pharmacy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and compliance with legal requirements.
Provide expert pharmaceutical and nutraceutical advice to patients and answer questions.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapies and outcomes.
Conduct medication reviews and counseling to promote proper usage and adherence.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Contribute to development and implementation of innovative pharmacy services.
