Peoples Rx Westlake in Austin, TX is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Technician or Experienced Trainee to join our close-knit Westlake team. This in-person role works closely with our pharmacists to process prescriptions, verify data, and deliver outstanding customer care in a busy community pharmacy. We offer either part-time (24–30 hrs) or full-time (30–40 hrs) with benefits and a supportive, mission-driven environment near Trader Joe's Mira Vista.

Qualifications

• Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee license.
• Must reside in the greater Austin area; in-person role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology.
• 6 months to 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to work a consistent schedule, including alternating Saturdays (10:AM-2:PM).
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input prescription data into pharmacy software
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions
• Contact providers for prescription clarifications and refill authorizations
• Troubleshoot and resolve insurance claim issues

Peoples Rx is a locally owned, holistic compounding pharmacy that has served the Austin community and been a beloved Austin icon for over 40 years. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work closely with our progressive, world-class pharmacists to provide personalized care and excellent customer service.

Position Options - We are open to either a Part-Time schedule (24-30 hours per week) or a Full-Time schedule (32-40 hours per week, with benefits), depending on the candidate’s preference and our business needs.

What You'll Do

Starting Pay

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on certification level and experience)
