Job summary

Danbury Automotive Group is seeking an Experienced Parts Counterperson to join our service team in Danbury, CT. You will assist technicians, source parts, handle walk-in customers, and maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of counter experience, strong customer service, and comfort with automotive parts catalogs. Kia certification is a strong plus; you should communicate clearly and work well with technicians and advisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist automotive technicians with identifying and sourcing the correct parts for repairs.
• Handle walk-in retail customers and provide professional, knowledgeable service.
• Look up parts using electronic parts catalogs and manufacturer systems.
• Write and manage parts orders accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with the Service Department and Parts Team to keep repairs moving.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
• Handle multiple customers, technicians, phone calls, and orders simultaneously.
• Work as part of a team to provide excellent service and maintain an efficient department.

Job description

Position Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm, Occasional Saturdays 8:00am to 3:00pm

The Experienced Parts Counterperson will need:

• Minimum 2 years of automotive parts counter experience
• Kia Certification is a strong plus
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable using computers and automotive parts catalog system

The Experienced Parts Countersperson Responsabilities:
