Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, OH is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Operating Room. This part-time night-shift role delivers direct patient care across the surgical care pathway and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, document, and respond to on-call pages. BSN preferred; ADN or BSN required; active RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN) required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in a surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medication, and document.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person/role model.
• Plan for patient care utilizing patient-specific information and preference sheets.
• Assist in collecting and preparing equipment, instruments, sutures, and implants.
• Timely respond to on-call pages and maintain the room schedule.
