Job summary

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic (5+ years preferred) to diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems while working in our mobile service fleet. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain trailers, communicate with customers, and uphold safety standards.

We offer daytime hours, paid holidays and vacations, 401(k) after 1 year, overtime, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience required. 5 years or more experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including but not limited to: ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.

About The Job

A successful candidate for this position would be an experienced Trailer Mechanic (5 years or more preferred), with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, enjoys mobile service truck work and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

Benefits

• $24-$32/hour. Starting Pay commensurate with experience.
