Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a MIG weld technician to join our Elizabethton, TN team. You will weld structural steel parts including rigid frame columns and beams, ensuring high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of welding experience or a valid welding certification, ability to read blueprints, and readiness to train others. Forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus, with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience in production or a welding certification.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CWB/AWS welding certifications per Cornerstone procedures.
• Experience with forklift/overhead crane is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG weld processes on structural steel components.
• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed, travel, and gas flow.
• Read tape measures and blueprints to shop standards.
• Train others in welding procedures per manufacturing procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and lifting equipment.
• Maintain bead shape, size, and penetration per specs.
• Support continuous improvement in the work area.
