Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands on a production floor in Elizabethton, TN seeks a MIG welder to join a fast-paced team. You will weld structural steel, read blueprints, and ensure bead quality while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of welding experience or a welding certification. Forklift/crane familiarity and teamwork are valued for timely production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year welding experience in a production environment or welding certification.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CWB/AWS welding certification.
• Experience with forklift and/or overhead crane is a plus.
• Strong math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG welding on structural steel components.
• Set up weld parameters and monitor bead quality.
• Read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Use tape measure and gauges to ensure dimensions.
• Train others on welding procedures as needed.
• Operate overhead crane and lifting equipment.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the production area.
• Keep accurate records of welds and inspections.
