Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates must have 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. We are committed to advancing quality and improving lives through innovation, stewardship, and unity, providing quality products and services to enhance the entire care experience.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing-related issues with insurance companies or other responsible parties.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and work in compliance with federal and state regulations related to billing and collection activities.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience required.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience required.
• Home infusion experience preferred.
• CPR and CareTend experience are pluses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payments; escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials for correctness and apply them accordingly.
• Identify bad debt write-offs and A/R adjustments, initiating them per policies.
• Investigate and resolve overpayments or duplicate payments.
• Process refund requests following policies.
• Coordinate with other departments for necessary patient or insurance information.
• Ensure activities comply with all regulatory mandates.
• Verify billing accounts align with the receivable ledger.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Document calls and correspondence thoroughly.
• Seek opportunities to maximize claim reimbursements.
• Resolve denials within 5 days of receipt.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Understand NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical terminology.
• Share knowledge with team members and collaborate effectively.
• Interact positively and respectfully with all stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
