Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates in the DFW area may work from the office. The role requires 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience, with a preference for home infusion experience.

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. We are seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Collection specialist to join our team. This full-time position involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and the ability to work in compliance with Federal and State regulations related to billing and collections.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry and medical billing/collections experience required.
• Home Infusion experience preferred.
• CPR and CareTend experience are pluses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment, escalating issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials, ensuring correct application.
• Identify and process bad debt write-offs and adjustments.
• Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments, resolving issues accordingly.
• Process refund requests following policies.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary information for claims.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates.
• Verify billing accounts and payments, troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Document communication details thoroughly.
• Maximize claim reimbursements and resolve denials promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Understand NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical codes.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with team members.
• Interact professionally and positively with all stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
