Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates must have 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection expert to join our dynamic team. This remote full-time role involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or other responsible parties. Candidates local to the DFW area may have the option to work from the office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry and medical billing and collections experience.
• Home infusion experience is preferred.
• CPR and CareTend experience are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials for accuracy; apply payments accordingly.
• Identify bad debts, initiate write-offs, and handle adjustments per policies.
• Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments, resolving discrepancies.
• Process refund requests following procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary patient and insurance information.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates in collection activities.
• Verify billing accounts and reconcile payments.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies via phone calls; document interactions thoroughly.
• Maximize claim reimbursements and resolve denials within 5 days.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and relevant insurance plans.
• Share knowledge with team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
