Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of related work experience or approved equivalence.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• CDL Class A license must be attained within six months of placement.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and work in hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, excavator, motor grader, and slope mower.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment.
• Coordinate placement of traffic control devices and set up work zones.
• Track daily work performed, locations, equipment used and materials used.
• Respond to emergencies and inclement weather; may require extended hours.
• Remove litter, debris and hazards from roadways and rights‑of‑way.
