Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, and service Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV at customer sites. You will handle panel repair, device replacement, low voltage troubleshooting and testing.

You will organize technical resources, manage information and ensure efficient task execution, focusing on networked fire alarm systems while supporting other related building systems as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, CCTV and Security Systems
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel overnight as required
• Must follow safety guidelines and procedures
• Strong organizational skills and quick learning ability

Responsibilities

• Install and program integrated fire alarm, security, and access control systems
• Troubleshoot and repair systems at customer sites
• Read blueprints and submittals to install equipment per specs
• Supervise installation to meet contract requirements
• Complete documentation for tasks, productivity, and status
• Participate in after-hours service program
• Communicate status to central dispatch
• Possess networking and system integration awareness
