Job summary

Blythe Construction in Saluda, NC is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to operate a Cat 249 or larger excavator near other equipment and workers. You will perform pre-shift inspections, fluid checks, and daily maintenance to keep machines safe and productive.

Three to five years of relevant experience are required, with emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges. You will work outdoors in varied weather and support project crews on-site.

Qualifications

• :Must have demonstrable experience as an Excavator Operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 to 5+ years of industry experience, with emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.
• At least 3 years of experience with Cat 249 size or bigger excavator.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator near equipment and the public in a safe manner.
• Perform daily fluid level checks and pre-operation inspections.
• Conduct daily maintenance and report issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
