Job summary

Caton Construction Group in Hickory, NC seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for a bridge/roadway project in Catawba County. Starting pay is competitive and based on skills and experience.

You will operate bulldozers, backhoes, graders and loaders, perform daily inspections, and support safety protocols on site. Overtime and occasional overnight travel may be required.

CDL license is preferred and four years of heavy equipment experience is requested to expand assignment options across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four years’ experience operating medium and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates bulldozer, backhoe, road grader or front-end loader to move and grade dirt, dig ditches, and hoist material.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment and reports defects.
• Follows safety procedures and company policies on site.
