Job summary

You will partner with senior attorneys and clients to shape case strategy, draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery and court appearances, and provide practical, business-minded counsel on complex disputes. NJ bar admission required; 4+ years of experience preferred. This role offers meaningful mentorship and direct access to partners.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; NJ bar admission required, NY admission a plus.
• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience, preferably at a law firm.
• Experience handling complex business disputes, including contract disputes and other commercial matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with a team.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and client communication skills.
• A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, from early strategy through resolution.
• Partner closely with senior attorneys and clients to shape case strategy and deliver practical, business-minded counsel
• Draft and refine pleadings, motions, and briefs with an eye toward clarity and persuasion
• Handle all phases of discovery, including depositions and eDiscovery (Everlaw or Relativity experience a plus)
• Show up in state and federal court — hearings, conferences, and trials — ready to advocate
