Our client, a well-established law firm known for providing innovative and effective legal solutions to clients in complex business and commercial matters, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney, to join their winning team in Garden City.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Attorney with 7-10 years of Commercial Litigation experience to handle cases from intake through trial. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial disputes, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and the capability to manage and oversee the litigation process effectively. This position requires a high level of responsibility and independence, as well as the ability to work closely with clients and colleagues to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from initial client intake through to trial and resolution.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
• Manage client communications and ensure that clients are informed of case progress and developments.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies, including case assessments, risk analysis, and recommending settlement or trial.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on complex legal issues and case management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal precedents and trends in commercial litigation.
• Participate in business development and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 7-10 years of experience in commercial litigation, including substantial trial experience.
• Strong knowledge of legal principles, case law, and litigation procedures.
• Proven ability to independently manage litigation cases, including taking matters from inception to resolution.
• Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• A strong commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.
• Licensed to practice law in New York (or eligible for admission).
