A law firm is seeking a Partner-level Commercial Litigation Attorney with 7–10 years of experience to join its Jersey City, New Jersey office. This role is suited for a seasoned litigator with significant courtroom experience handling complex matters in both state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities & Experience:
- Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including:
- Contract disputes (employment, franchise, real estate, construction, insurance, and shareholder matters)
- Business torts (fraud, misappropriation of proprietary information, unfair competition, and restrictive covenant claims)
- Closely held corporation disputes (including dissolution and minority shareholder issues)
- State and federal class actions
- Claims under the Lanham Act
- Emergent and expedited proceedings, including injunctive relief
- State and federal appellate matters
- White collar criminal defense, including investigations, grand jury proceedings, and internal corporate matters
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; top academic credentials preferred, with journal experience a plus
- Admission to both the New Jersey and New York Bars required
- Extensive and successful courtroom experience in state and federal courts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretionAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and foster teamwork
