VCA Brookline Animal seeks an experienced client service representative to join a fast-paced general medicine practice with six doctors in Brookline. The role focuses on high-quality customer service for pet owners, handling phones, appointments, payments, and client education in a supportive team environment.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in veterinary client service, excellent communication, strong computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer phones, and guide clients and pets to exam rooms

• Educate clients on non-medical pet care (e.g., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, flea & tick control)
• Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
• Triaging phone calls
• Enter vaccine information accurately

VCA Brookline Animal is seeking an experienced client service representative to join our well established hospital and team. We are a six doctor, fast paced general medicine practice. We are located in the heart of Brookline, a mile from downtown Boston. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine, patient care, and customer service. Applicant must be a reliable self-starter, motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high quality customer service.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of veterinary client service; at least 2 years of experience in the veterinary field.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Strong client relations and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Triaging phone calls
• Understanding and entering vaccine information

WAGE: $21.00-$24.00 depending on experience
