Job summary

RNS Private Duty Care in Shawnee, KS is seeking an Experienced Care Professional to support a male client with a TBI in a private home. The role offers a consistent pay of $26/hour with a nurse-led care team and safety-focused, home-based care.

You will follow an established schedule, provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, and communicate with family and care professionals. A high school diploma and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Previous care for clients with complex needs preferred (TBI).
• Licensed driver with clean driving record.
• Reliable, insured vehicle.
• Cell phone with internet and texting capability.
• Daily access to RNS email.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to perform physical and mental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide care as agreed with client, family, and RNS case manager.
• Follow established care schedule and plan consistently.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide safety oversight, fall prevention, transfers, mobility assistance.
• Monitor and report changes in condition or behavior.
• Follow PT/OT and nursing recommendations as directed.
• Assist with bathing, home tasks, documentation, reminders.
• Communicate with client’s mother and care team.
• Work with family and other care professionals in home.
• Follow all RNS policies including HIPAA, conduct, and dress code.
• Maintain CPR certification (within 90 days of hire).
• Maintain TB test (within 90 days of hire).

• Strong ability to follow detailed care instructions and established routines

Responsibilities

• Provide care as agreed upon by the client, client’s family, and RNS case manager


• Follow the established care schedule and plan consistently


• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care


• Provide safety oversight, fall prevention, transfers, mobility assistance, and other hands‑on support as needed


• Monitor and report changes in condition or behavior


• Follow PT/OT and nursing recommendations as directed


• Assist with bathing, home tasks, documentation, medication reminders, and other assigned care needs


• Communicate appropriately with the client’s mother and members of the care team


• Work comfortably in a home with other family members and care professionals


• Follow all RNS policies, including HIPAA, standards of conduct, and dress code


• Maintain current CPR certification (or complete within 90 days of hire)


• Maintain current TB test (or complete within 90 days of hire)


• Responsible for working all assigned shifts and ensuring coverage if unavailable
