Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Journeyman with 3+ years of field experience in the craft. You will read and interpret instructions, document and plan work, and perform activities independently on boiler and vessel assemblies.

Responsibilities include locating reference points, rigging, aligning components, flame-cutting, welding, installing fittings, and ensuring safety compliance while supporting testing and repairs in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with prior field experience.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on foundations.
• Attach rigging or signal crane operator to lift components.
• Align structures to assemble boiler frame, tanks or vats.
• Weld or bolt structures and vessels; perform fittings and repairs.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning with tools.
• Install manholes, valves, gauges and water connections; complete assembly.
• Assist in testing assembled vessels by observing for leaks under pressure.
• Repair boilers or tanks in the field by replacing defective sections and tubes.
• Observe safety and project rules.
