Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services currently seeks a Journeyman with 3+ years of field experience. The role involves reading instructions, planning and performing work independently, and following strict safety rules on-site.

You will participate in boiler, tank, and vessel assembly, alignment, welding, bolting, and testing processes. The position requires ability to interpret plans, use measuring tools, and work at heights while maintaining high accuracy.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of field experience.
• Familiar with reading technical drawings and applying shop mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Locates and marks reference points for foundations and aligns components.
• Attaches rigging or signals crane operators to lift parts.
• Aligns boiler frame components using plumb bobs and levels.
• Flame-cuts, files and grinds edges for proper fit.
• Bolts or arc-welds structures and sections together.
• Installs components and tests assemblies for leaks or defects.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Operates tools safely and observes project rules.
