Job summary

Atomic Transport seeks an experienced B Technician in Conroe, TX to maintain and repair trucks and trailers, with a focus on tire servicing, diagnostics, and safety. The role supports our expanding operation across regional terminals with a stable schedule and benefits.

You will use tire-changing equipment and engine diagnostic software, perform routine maintenance, and respond to roadside service needs. Candidates should have own basic hand tools and pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Conroe, TX area.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, exhaust systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Have your own set of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Pass pre-employment screening (drug test and background check).

Responsibilities

• Perform both minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, repair, mount, and replace commercial tractor and trailer tires.
• Perform tire changes, tire rotations, and tire pressure checks.
• Diagnose and address tire wear, punctures, tread separation, and other tire-related safety concerns.
• Service and replace steer, drive, and trailer tires, including retread tires.
• Safely operate tire-changing equipment, tire inflation equipment, and other required shop tools.
• Diagnose and service Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
• Use engine diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks.
• Perform roadside service calls as needed, including emergency tire changes and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, tire inspections, and repairs performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Provide your own basic hand tools (larger/specialty tools provided).
