Job summary

Quirk Chevrolet in Braintree, MA is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our busy Service Department. Compensation will be based on experience, with opportunities to advance in a dealership group known for customer service.

Join a team that uses diagnostic equipment and tools to test vehicle components, performs test drives for verification, and diagnoses systems from engine to electrical. Applicants should be proactive and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• Experience using diagnostic equipment and tools to test vehicle components.
• Test-driving vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Diagnose automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, A/C.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Service Advisor with an estimate for additional repairs.
• Assess client needs and think of innovative ways to get results.
• Maintain organization of work time and activities.

Quirk Auto has opportunities for inspired and motivated individuals who have the desire and passion to succeed. Compensation will based on experience.

Key Required Proficiencies:

• Using Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
• Test-driving vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Diagnosing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc
• Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
• Assess individual client needs and think of innovative ways to get results

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in managing and organizing work time and work-related activities
• 1-2 years experience as an automotive technician
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• State inspection license preferred
• A positive attitude
• Strong willingness to learn
