Job summary

Knife River Corporation in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a reliable Asphalt Plant Service Technician to support maintenance and operation of our asphalt plants. This role performs preventive maintenance, fixes mechanical and electrical issues, reads schematics, and ensures safe, efficient plant operation with minimal downtime.

Travel is required and extended hours may be necessary. Training will be provided to build skills and advance in the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical, electrical and fabrication experience.
• Current Driver's license.
• Millwright experience preferred.
• Experience with Asphalt Plants preferred.
• Must be able to meet attendance policy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair asphalt plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform lubrication, belt adjustments, filter changes, and component replacements.
• Diagnose failures and minimize downtime.
• Maintain burners and fuel systems for optimal performance.
• Read manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Collaborate with operators and management on maintenance needs.
• Assist with upgrades and installation of new equipment.
• Perform general welding and fabrication.
• Willing to travel and work extended hours.
• Training available.
